1. Enable USB Debugging

 First, you’ll need to enable USB debugging on your Android device. Open the Settings screen, tap      Applications, and select Development.

Tap the USB Debugging checkbox to enable it. This will enable debug mode, allowing you to change the settings on your Android device from your computer.

2. Install the Android SDK

You’ll need to download and install Google’s Android SDK on your computer. If you don’t already have Oracle’s Java JDK installed on your computer, you’ll have to download and install it before installing the Android SDK.

3. Using ADB

Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to the android-sdk\platform-tools folder. On Windows, you’ll find this folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools by default. Check C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools if you’re using a 32-bit version of Windows.

The start as 'shift+right-click' anywhere inside the folder and choose [Open Command Window Here]
 
    Mac
   - right-click the folder called "platform-tools" and choose [New Terminal At Folder]

4.  Enter in the following

For Windows :
       adb devices
       adb shell pm set-install-location 2
       adb shell pm get-install-location

For Mac : (note - there is a period before the slashes)
       ./adb devices
       ./adb shell pm set-install-location 2
       ./adb shell pm get-install-location


5. Check if you did it right

   - if you did it right, the last output should say: 2 [external]

 If you did it right, CONGRATS! Your phone will now install your apps to your SD Card by              default! Have fun now!

2. Touch “Settings” on the menu.

3. The “Auto-update apps” option is in the “General” section of the “Settings” screen. If it says               “Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply,” then your apps will be automatically              updated. To turn this option off, touch “Auto-update apps.”

4. On the “Auto-update apps” dialog box, touch “Do not auto-update apps.”

5. The dialog box closes and the “Auto-update apps” option is updated with the “Do not auto-update       apps” setting.

If you select the “Allow automatic updating” check box so there is a check mark in the box, the following dialog box displays asking if you want to turn on auto-update for all apps.

5.  Type ( del autorun.inf ), without brackets and press Enter.

6.  Follow this for all other drives that you may think are infected.

1. Go to Start -> Run -> cmd.

2. Go to your pen drive directory.

As you may have already heard, Windows 10 is due to launch pretty soon. In order to celebrate this long-awaited event, Microsoft has decided to create a bit of expectation, by offering Windows 7 and Windows 8 users a pre-reservation chance. Basically, everyone running one of the two Windows versions should have noticed a small, Windows-like icon, in the right-hand corner of the screen, gently notifying customers that they can book an early spot in the upcoming OS.


Making the Windows 10 Update App icon 

At this stag, most people should already spot the crafty icon in the Notifications Area. While for some the app is simply hidden and a simple click on the up arrow would reveal it, for some it actually refuses to appear. In that case, the following steps would force the platform to request the update from Microsoft’s servers.

Those who are a bit reserved of actually running the following commands, in the fear that something dodgy would be hidden inside, I confess that I’ve actually run the package myself and there are no risks behind.

Open a simple Notepad window and copy the text below, as it is.

1. Taking into considerations that some browser may change the format of the quotes above, find and replace all the ten quotes in the Notepad file, simply by typing them yourself. This will make Windows recognize the character later on, and spare some of you of troubles.
2. Go to File -> Save as and rename the file as ReserveWin10.cmd , while selecting the file type as All Files (*.*). Please save this file to your local drive, directly on its root folder, to simplify the following steps (I’ve saved mine under C:\ReserveWin10.cmd).
3. Now type Command Prompt in the Start menu search box, right click the result, and choose the Run as Administrator option.
4. Change the current directory by typing cd C:\ . Again, notice that this is the location where I’ve actually stored my file, so do feel free to modify.
5. Simply run the script by typing ReserveWin10.cmd , and wait for the file to finish the exchange with Microsoft’s servers (might take as long as 10 minutes).
6. When successful, a beeping sound should notify the user, followed by the sudden appearance of our little Windows 10 update icon.

If you don’t see the Get Windows 10 app (the small Windows icon in your system tray), it might be because:

1. Your device isn’t up-to-date with at least Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update
2. Windows Update is turned off or is not set to received updates automatically
3. You’ve blocked or uninstalled the necessary Windows Update functionality.
4. Your device is not running genuine Windows
5. Your device is running Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, or Windows RT/RT 8.1, which are excluded from this reservation offer.
6. Your device is managed as part of a school or business network.  (Check with your IT administrator.)
7. PCs that we determine cannot run Windows 10 will not see the Get Windows 10 app before July 29th.  After July 29th, we’ll enable the icon in the system tray.  This is to help ensure that you can easily check your PC’s compatibility if you choose.
